Living in the heart of Hoosier Country I can honestly tell you that IU basketball fans are almost as annoying as UGA,Bamma and Gator fans. Earlier this season they was sure this team was the return to glory days and already printing up National Championship shirts...now after a home loss to a Minnesota team that was 0-4 in B1G, a blow out loss at Ohio State and now a road loss to a awful Nebraska team things are back to normal around here....does my heart good!

I don't really care how Indiana does. Sorry you have to live with it, though. Heard a lot of bad things about their fans following the UK game up there.

Side note: Where are you in Indiana? I spend a lot of time in a small town (Madison) in Southern Indiana because my wife's family lives there.

I hate their guts, their livers, and their innards.

They've been needing a little dose of reality. Couldn't happen to a better bunch of wannabe's.

I hate IU more than SEC opponents. Couple my buds are bandwagon on them this year. Idiots.

Isn't Indiana one of the historically best basketball programs? It seems to me them being good is good for basketball. I don't live near any of them though

5 national championships and the last undefeated season in 76. Doesn't stop me from hating their guts though, as any good UK fan should do.

They've sucked for the last 10 years. Otherwise, they are a great basketball school.

The only problem I have with Indiana is Muncie. What a crap hole.

But IU is cool. I hope they can have some sustained success. I really like Crean.

It's really been strange for me to think IU was ever a dynasty. All I remember is continual beatdowns by UK :p

Living here in Hoosierland, all my neighbors have become insufferable little pricks. Glad to see them have a little humble pie.

Ya know what we should all realize by now? Every single fan base has some really annoying fans.

Of course we're optimistic about the return to glory, we beat the #1 and #2 ranked teams in the country this year. The losses to Minn and Neb are deflating, but there is a lot of season left and I hope they can rebound and finish strong.

Fwiw, the majority of IU fans I grew up around in southern Indiana are some of the more rational fans I've ever met. The majority of UK fans I grew up around were the exact opposite. Maybe I feel that way because we never agreed, but it seemed like they never could have a civil discussion about CBB.

The last decade has been eerily similar for IU basketball and UT football. I would think most UT fans could empathize with the idea of FINALLY getting back to the top.

EDIT: I bet fans of other teams living in Big Orange country will probably feel the same way when the Vols start doing well again too....

Nothing personal against IU. I like having sensible discussions with opposing fans.

But I admit, the Minn. game was great. Tubby :p

My dislike for Indiana isn't just a sports thing, it's a life thing. It's not my fault their state is full of corn, has no decent lakes, and the weather sucks. However, they still insist on buying boats that they don't know how to use, and pull them behind vehicles which they have no experience doing, then clog up the small town and state park dock where my houseboat is. then proceed to jack knife the truck and trailer trying to put the boat in, then manage to somehow crash their POS boat into something of mine. Then after a weekend of not observing lake rules, (no wake, shallow water, right of ways) head back to the land of Cornshuckers, all while acting like entitled douches. I have a few friends from Indiana, but for the most part I hate everything about it, other than the movie "Hoosiers."

I have a lot of family and friends from Indiana and I lived there as a kid from 86-88. Most of them are Indiana fans and are extremely rational about where they are as a program right now. They have been down for quite some time but are definitely on the rise. They are one of the historically premier basketball programs in the country.

IU fans are rational when they are losing. They become unbearable when they are winning. I guess when you've sucked as long as they have....

Those Hoosiers need to stop losing- dropped 4 B10 games now. Hurting our RPI.

Like most native Hoosiers, they come out of the gate fast, but have little stamina. Or at least that's what she said...
