You'll never see a gutsier comeback than Tennessee made last night. The Vols proved they're good enough to gift-wrap two touchdowns to a top-10 team on the road and then beat it anyway. LSU had five first-half possessions end on the plus-side of the 50 with no points. That will smart for a long time.

OWB, he must be doing freelance work for Fox Sports or something. We know that an ESPN analyst would never say something like this. :D

I think hurricane Katrina ended up making a lot of people out there want to root on for teams like the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. If it weren't for the disaster, what Maisel said would probably be the typical reaction to our win in Baton Rouge. It's just that LSU had the sympathy card bigtime... And in this case, I really don't have a problem with that as long as nobody paints the Vols as villains to the population of south central Louisiana. It was a damned college football game.
