This came from a post in the coaching forum...sorry if thread should have been there, but this is a fantasy discussion...no rumors or speculation.

Someone suggested Malzahn as OC and the reply was no amount of $ would make him go from HC to OC...and of course Dr. Evil and one billion dollars came up.

So if money were no object, who would you hire for HC, OC, and DC? Let's keep it among the living...and for grins, I'll leave Gruden out of it...we all know we want him.

My three:

HC: Jim Harbaugh - sorry, can't bare thought of Satan
OC: David Cutcliffe - two Mannings and look what he did for EA
DC: Rob Ryan - The Dude, his D @ Hutchinson lead country with 228 yards allowed, 56 sacks, and record setting 49 turnovers

I`d say a lot of folks will have Chip Kelly as OC. Why? Yeah,he can score 99 points in the Pac-12,but all u gotta do is go back 2 years to see his offense would NOT win in the SEC. Auburn had a mediocre D in 11,had to rally from behind against everyone they played in SEC. KY put 40 on them. Then the vaunted Quack-attack was completely neutralized in the NC game by the AU D.19-16!! So give me Spurrier anyday. He`s the greatest offensive mind in college football and evolves& adapts his O to always be 1 step ahead. The guy is a freakin genius AND a Tennessean. I`d have him as my HC,but I love Miles` style of coaching and Spurrier could concentrate on O.

Spurrier was born and raised in Tennessee. The ONLY reason he chose Fla over UT was our offense was not pass-oriented and Fla`s was. He`s stated this many times. At UT he would`ve been trying to run the option! Go Vols!

Mainly I like him because whatever stars he has at the time he seems to always have a knack for making them shine. I have no doubt he would have done a lot more with CP had he been here.

So if we hired Saban you would not be happy? I bet most of the VolNation would do back flips if we hired him:fireworks:

Make no mistake: I despise anyone in crimson;however, once they put on the Big Orange, they are loved by me. UNTILL they prove unworthy of the color.

Well,I`m mistaken,I guess. I know I heard him on Finebaum talking about growing up here and wanting to play for UT,but our offense was option-style,and Florida was a passing team. I`ve not read his biography,so I shouldn`t have posted info I wasn`t 100% sure of. Apologies VN. Go Vols!!
