I know he wont leave after this season, but if he lights it up senior year could he be a 1st round pick? he has the body and athletic ability.

just another 3 swingman, but hes too 1 demensional, needs a lot of work for the league, no chance for a lottery pick, maybe a late 1st rounder who could have a decent career off the bench in the right situation

Lol - thanks for the laugh. Its painfully obvious his shot and motion will never be where it needs to be. If he makes it into the NBA - it won't be the easy route.

He's got the body and athletic ability of his cousin...but, unfortunately, nowhere near the skill. Is he really the second best player on the team like Pearl has stated?

I am not the biggest JP fan but he breaks through a defense and he opens himself up to those 'free layups'.

Plus he is a great finisher

Not denying that, he's a good slasher...just don't think he's second best player/most valuable player...and he's got a lot of work to do for any chance in the NBA. I heard he worked on his shot quite a bit during the off season, but I haven't seen him try to shoot too much.

JP is our second best player so far.. i mean, look, he's got loads of talent..
I can see him having the second best pro career behind Hopson.. maybe even better than Smith.

hes our second best player in terms of ppg, but in terms of impact i believe Maze is our second best player just because of how crucial he is to the team. we proved we could beat a good team (marquette) without Prince but i dont think we couldve beaten them without Maze. Although if Wayne could consistantly play to his potential, i believe he could be our second best player.

I dont think he will play in the NBA. Does not have a good shot and is not durrable at all. He is hurt every other day.

JP's NBA career will depend a lot on his willingness to work hard on his mid-range and long-range shots. If he can develop those to a decent degree this year and next, I think he'll be a serviceable pro player.

Agreed. At this point in the season, Maze is one of our most valuable players, if not the most. He has definately impressed me so far.

u mean he snowbirds, meaning while everyone else is trying to get the rebound he creeps to the other end of the court hoping his teammates get the ball and find him. he plays zero D, and when he's done at UT i'll help him pack his bags

Maybe you should sit the next couple of plays out....Comparing Tyler's NBA stock to JP's is laughable.

J.P will probably put his name in the draft this year just to get an evaluation for what he needs to work on.
