You screw up, steal a laptop, get caught with weed, you go to a school that loses their home opener to an FCS school.

You stay at your original school, you beat an FBS team in your home opener 72-0.

Consequences.

Nutt is quickly on the hot seat, at least in the eyes of some.

Wonder if this season can get bad enough for nutt to get canned before it's over. This will be hard to overcome.

Somehow I think Saban has earned a little more leeway than nutt.

Yeah but that's still an fbs level team.

There's quite a bit of difference between that and losing to an fcs level team

It's the first time Jacksonville State has beat a Division I school since Sept. 27, 2001.

That's embarrassing.

This could be a public service announcement.

No, it just makes Ole Miss look bad.

Just like making fun of the Pac-10 for having Washington State or making fun of the ACC for having Duke. Every conference has its share of worthless programs.

That two-pointer to win was insane.

Who's more embarrassed: us after we lost to Wyoming in 2008 or Ole Miss today?

Losing to Wyoming meant no bowl game, but this essentially means Ole Miss won't be taken seriously for the rest of the season. They'd have to win like seven in a row just to get in the top 25.

Considering the fact that the D was supposed to be a strength, there has to be a mass suicide watch in effect. Let their fans tell it, they're always one player away or a recruiting class away from being a power.

No, this is typical Houston Nutt football. He will go 8-4 and be in a bowl game and likely beat us in November.
