10 million dollar potential, 10 dollar performance as of last week. Let's hope he keeps it up and has a big 2nd. halkf of season.

Mark my words, J Smith will not get drafted high, but I think he will go to the NFL and be a very productive LB.

I love watching this guy's enthusiasm. Through a difficult career at TN he has always maintained a great attitude and love for Tennessee football. The guy is always positive. I've watched him closely this year and he has really performed well on the field. Opponents respect him and tend to run plays away from him. If they run toward him, he's done a great job of sealing his corner (sign of the new coaching staff) and pursuing as running plays turn to the inside. I know Jacques will be successful in life and look forward to him putting up some stats the remainder of the season.

Jacques is too slow to cover RBs and can't make fast decisions.

Not sure how you think he can make it in the pros. Too small to be an effective pass rusher.

Said Elvis Dumervil. Gtfo here. If he wants it bad enough he could do it.

A kid works his tail off, follows all the rules, represents his team with class, gives his best effort.....and some you choose to throw insults. I just don't get it.

One of the best statements I've read on this site. Sure I want to see championships. Sure I want ESPN to love Vol Nation. But success comes in many forms - and Jacques gets it.

I get that Jac has infuriated many with his habit of losing the edge, and other things he has done poorly, but I like him. I venture to say a real coaching staff could have made a lot better player out of him a lot quicker though.

If it were coaching, he would have responded by now. He won't get to pick his NFL coaches anymore than he did his college coaches. And they will spend little time on a "project" who looks like a weight room beast when the NFL is full of those players already. Free agent project will be hard to hook up in the NFL.

Time will tell.
