You sure about that? I remember he signed with a team overseas and came back due to culture shock after about 3 days over there... did he go over there again??

Eh, I'm not sure. I probably shouldn't go by Wikipedia, but that's what it says.

I bet you guys wish you had smith back this year don't you?

we're managing without him, but I can't deny that I wish we had him and Chris back with all this talent we now have. JaJuan made everyone play with more intensity...something that we DEFINITELY need right now. I miss seeing him play. He was definitely a key piece to us having the success we have now.

No. No informed poster will tell you yes either. Players come and go.

I could just as easily say I wish we had Bernard King back too. And he is arguably the best ever in the SEC

Sorry. That makes no sense at all. Your post should say no informed poster will tell you no either.

Is it unrealistic? Obviously, yes - because you can't have that 5th year of eligibility with out certain circumstances....

- but it doesn't take a genius to figure out the guy would help the team tremendously with our defense, leadership, and 3-point shooting.

Wow - no NBDL picked him up? After he was so close to earning a spot with Dallas? Weird.

I have a feeling if he was a serviceable point guard a team probably would have picked him up. As it stands he's a very short 2-guard, and I guess the NBA doesn't want to chance it on him. I think Chris ran into the same thing where they are basically too short for the 2-guard in the NBA, but at least JS could play defense.

Right. No informed poster would say that we need a lockdown on the ball defender who can hit from 3 consistently. That wouldn't help this team.

No, you guys are taking what I said out of context. Sure we need a lockdown defender like Smith, but he is gone. It would be just as easy to say I wish I had any of the former lockdown defensive players we've had in the past.
