Any word on his health? He left a midweek game awhile back with a strained oblique and I don’t recall seeing him pitch since.

Well, I guess no one knows. I went back and looked and it was the Butler game on 3/22 when he last pitched and he left with what was reported to be a pulled or strained oblique, IIRC.

Maybe we’ll get to see him tonight.

Sorry, I haven’t heard anything but if it was a grade 1 strain it’s usually about a month or so, grade 2 is about a 6-8 week recovery time, grade 3 can be up to 3-4 months. With the amount torque pitchers utilize nowadays you have to keep an eye on them. I think I saw a study for MLB players that showed a 12% re-injury rate and athletes can have a setback doing something as simple as a stationary bike.
