Jalen Hurd, Josh Dobbs, and Derrick Green in the Backfield 2014?

no, no we just need speed and nothing else matters like angles, tackling, coaching, adjustments, etc... no, we just need speed according to everyone on here and we are set up for a NC. Just speed people, that is it --- people are truly ignorant

Everyone? Really? I actually don't recall ever making any statement resembling this. I thought the universe of "everyone" included me, but maybe I'm truly ignorant about what "everyone" means.

Undoubtedly, he is unhappy with his playing time at Michigan and is rumored to be interested in transferring to UT or Ole Miss

Thanks Count. Will he need a mysterious sick relative to turn up in East Tennessee to play next year?

You keep it real Fade. I like that about you

People should prepare now for next year

As bad as we are on D, our backups can't beat them out. The backups that will need to be starters next year

Not all of our starters are graduating. Most of them will still be around.

Anybody think we can get Green? That's an exciting thought.

Green ... seriously? Today he got 11 yards on 8 carries. The boy was over hyped ... glad we missed on him. Besides if we had signed him then the "got no talent" excuse makers would have had to come up with another excuse.

I like this thread..it reminds us of what the future holds..as bad as today was, and it was..we all knew darn good and well this was not the year and next year wont be any better most likely..but the future looks promising.

I think they will help. Like the freshmen have helped Ole Miss

Ole Miss last year (6-6) Won Bowl Game (7-6)
Ole Miss right now (6-3)

At this point, last year Ole Miss was 5-4. The improvement has been 1 game thus-far. There is still more season to play.

Nice sentiment but after the Texas/Bama losses (first 2 in the year) Ole Miss lost their other 4 games by 37 total (most of those were from a 27 point loss to Georgia) and showed obvious signs of improvement.

Us? Well. Lets not compare them, shall we?

Just because Green is struggling at Michigan, does not mean he would here. Who know? I would love to see how our backfield would be with him and Hurd. Especially with Paulks injury. I know we are chasing Scott and James, but why not welcome a 5* RB if he wanted to come here? Maybe he is regretting his choice and really wants to come and play for us.

I just hope these losses don't discourage recruits. After seeing Auburn yesterday, a recruit's got to be thinking, "wow....Malzahn can coach"

What everyone seems to be forgetting is that our current commits are being recruited here to turn our program back around THEMSELVES! IMO, it doesn't really matter how we perform this year because the recruits are being sold on THEM making a difference.
