His strength as a player is not the same as Mayfield. If they ask him to do what Mayfield did I dont think he will shine. Very talented player but they ll need to adjust what they do to fit him better.

Emphasize mid-range routes and don't ask him to hang out in pocket too long and he will absolutely destroy Big XII defenses.

I think his running ability would thrive in that conference. The Ds are smaller and built more toward defending spread out passing attacks. He adds a physical dimension you dont see in that conference at that position.

If they use him right he ll thrive. If they ask him to be a Mayfield type it wont happen.

Has he won the starting job yet? The sooners coach has compared him to Tua and declared that at times, at Alabama, has moved the ball better. What Riley hasn't done is compare him to the QB he's competing with. Now there would be a compliment that actually means something.

He is pathetically average but is in a place where he will put up big numbers due to coaching, teammates, and competition.

Has zero potential at that position at the next level.

He hasn't won the job yet but based on everything Lincoln Riley has said he's going to get the job

He will put up monster numbers in Riley’s system, and he will play the most vanilla defenses that he’s seen in his career. I’d put money down on him being a Heisman finalist.

He’s more of a big RB than a QB.

He’s not an NFL Caliber QB.

Oklahoma QB's do seem to have some built-in advantages for the Heisman. I wouldn't discount the possibility.
