This not so shocking news according to Profootballtalk.com :

RUSSELL COMING OUT
LSU quarterback JaMarcus Russell has signed with agent Eric Metz, a league source tells us.
And this means that Russell will forego his final year of eligibility and enter the 2007 draft. Once a college player signs with an agent, there's no going back.
Coming off of a great performance in the Sugar Bowl, the 6-6, 260-pound Russell could be one of the top picks in April. He might even leapfrog Notre Dame's Brady Quinn.

I'm not totally convinced that he is as big of a project as people think...his skill set is down right frightening.

Maybe Oakland takes him at #1? Get a guy like Culpepper who can bomb it out to Moss, assuming Moss wants to play... again... ever...

You think that'd be a good pick for them? Gonna be him or Quinn, you'd think, unless someone like Mario Williams comes out of nowhere.

I think Jamarcus Russell is the perfect pick for the Raiders. His skills compliment those of their other offensive personnel perfectly. Jerry Porter and Randy Moss might actually start running routes again.

not to mention the fact he's big enough to sustain the beating that's going to inevitably come from playing behind the sieve that is the offensive line of the Raiders.

i think goes to Cleveland, and the Lions take an offensive lineman, like a LT.

I think it takes 2-3 years to make JR one of the better QBs in the NFL... I'll stand by that, too.

Russell isnt the brightest crayon, guys.

When you're 6-6, 260 pounds and flip a ball from the 50 through the uprights while sitting down, you don't have to be smart.
Gotta give him credit though, for a moron he'll make more money in one year than you'll make in your life.

Of course. Didn't you realize that Terry Bradshaw was a Nobel Laureate?

which reminds me, did anybody else hear Bradshaw the other night when he was doing the Sugar Bowl and he said he couldn't get the ACT score to get into LSU? Not too much of a surprise huh?:birgits_giggle:
