James Banks redshirt?

The Chattanooga Times printed that James Banks is having knee surgery and may miss the season. Anybody in Knoxville know the extent of the injury?

They haven't released it yet. But looks like he will be gone for the season.

Banks has a meniscus problem and will have surgery Friday to determine and correct the problem. If they can repair it he will be out 3 to 5 weeks, if it has to be replaced he's gone for the year.

From what I gathered from the paper this is a new injury, at least he has a redshirt year left.... he could probably use a year off to get his head on straight (even his Daddy thinks so.)

I saw where he is officially out for the season. Could be for the best though.

Yeah the last thing this squad needs is drama off the field(there be enough on the field)

Maybe he will come back with a great attitude. And it will give him more time to learn defense if that's were he ends up.
