What went wrong is stupid wokeness," Carville said. "Don’t just look at Virginia and New Jersey. Look at Long Island, Buffalo, look at Minneapolis, even look at Seattle, Washington. I mean this ‘defund the police’ lunacy, this take Abraham Lincoln’s name off of schools, people see that. And it really has a suppressive effect on all across the country on Democrats. Some of these people need to go to a woke detox center or something."

With Carvllle you either love him or hate him. He knows politics and he’ll give an honest necropsy of failure on both sides,

I watched his commencement address a number of years ago. He’s a great speaker and, politically, pretty centrist. He’s a little too loyal to the party at times, but, unlike many others, is not afraid to criticize the Democrats.

James Carville is a centrist? That’s hilarious.

By today's standards? Hell yes. Few true conservatives remaining in mainstream politics. Hell, Manchin is further right than many state-level Republicans, and probably some national-level ones too if they weren't afraid of getting McConnell'd.
