My dad still talks about little man and the shake he had at UT. I'm 35 and just missed him in my volunteer rolodex of memories and great players!

That's really awesome! I'm 36 so I am too young to remember his days at Tennessee. I'm from Greeneville, TN and I always remember one of our coaches talked about the Greeneville v Morristown West games. At the time Greeneville had Dustin Moore (who won Mr Tennessee football in high school). I was told that the season Moore and Stewart went head to head was thing of beauty.

Probably because the Lions were so bad, I don't remember him playing for Detroit. He had a nice career with Jacksonville though, and obviously Tennessee.

Garner, Little Man and Hayden was not a bad backfield.

I would agree ... except when we were playing Alabama. He fumbled inside the Alabama 5 yard line two years in a row (1993 and 1994). Those fumbles pretty much kept Tennessee from winning both games. On the '93 fumble, in Birmingham, he wasn't even hit. He just dropped the ball.

Yeah I blame alabama cheating. I think they got popped with cruting violations. Not Stewart's fault.
