Congrats to Jaime, but I don't put a lot into ASGR. Since when does a player who took the year off (Eckmark) and a player from Canada (Nurse) make an All-American team?

Canada is in North America, just like the United States. But all players playing in USA colleges should be eligible. No one can pretend they aren't on the court.

Eckmark is a highly intelligent young lady and took the year off because she finished her high school work early and had no classes left to take. She thought it would be better if she spent the year training for her college basketball efforts.

Nurse doesn't get much press in the USA because she is from Canada, but she is a very talented player.

Each rating service has their own eligibility requirements. Both of these players would have made the McDonalds AA team if their statuses were not as you questioned.

Actually, none of these rating services mean much. It's what the players do on the court that counts. That said, it looks like uconn has reloaded with 4 players picked as All Americans by one of the better rating services. Every team has high hopes for next year we'll see what happens.

Doesn't matter what MTSU, you, or I think. She's on the list.

There's always been foreign citizens on the AA list. Svetlana Abrosimova for one.

Do you realize what you just said? Svet wasn't a HS AA in the US! She played college ball here and was an AA, which I have no problem with. These are HS AA teams, and she doesn't play HS ball here, so she shouldn't be an a HS AA list.

Also, if you don't play during the season, you shouldn't be an AA, no matter how good you are.

No, I didn't realize what I said. You're right, I apologize. I think Ekmark was listed as home schooled. Maybe she played for a home schooled team?
