Sorry if someone has done something already on these guys but I saw an older article on Rivals about them. They have us in their top three with Rutgers and Pitt (insert joke here). But they have offers from FSU, WVU, and VT. Their dad says they are not necessarily a package deal but they are hesitant to split up.

Jamil is a 3* DE, 6'4 210lbs 4.6 40yd. Rated as the 15th best DE in the country.

Jamal is a 3* OLB, 6'4 195lbs 4.7 40yd. Rated as the 30th best OLB in the country.

Note: I saw another article that I can't find that had a recruiting analyst saying they could rise to a 4* at the rate they are playing.

Hey rexvol, anymore info on these guys? Do your thing man!

I really hope we get these guys. One of them is a very good WR and most stories have them as "can't misses" playing at the Div. 1 level. I like this mold of athelete: tall, fast, and a frame that can put on 30-40 lbs (E.J. Abrams-Ward). With offense commits nearly complete, we must focus on Defense. They may not play DT, but getting two versatile atheletes in a 2 for 1 would be huge.

Get these guys to Knoxville chavi

Jamil and Jamal definitely plan to go to the same college...both hold offers from Pitt, Florida State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Tennessee, Boston College, West Virginia and Iowa. No leaders yet.

if they come to knoxville, it will be in spite of Chief

Yep, I doubt Mister non-recruiter will help us much there. We will let him develop them once they get here. I really like our chances with these guys. I think we land them both eventually. Of course, this is no more than just a hunch, except for the fact we are only in competition with Rutgers and Pitt. This is assuming they are truly the only other two in the running????

It looks like we may have backed off on these two guys. In the latest article, they didn't list us in the top three after they did previously. Maybe it shows that we feel good about some other high profile guys.

Your right volball. I think the coaches have a really good vibe on some of the big time players. I still think we're in good shape with Askew and Drummond.

I hope we get some of the high profile guys too, but i'd still take these two as well, if we can get them

no mention of the Vols and these comments are esp telling...

Who are the Merrell's looking at?

"A few schools we are interested in are Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Michigan," he said. "We're looking at the ones who are looking at us. We just want a good school, a good program and solid coaches."

if they are only looking at the schools that are looking at them and then dont mention us, one would have to believe that we've backed off.

The Twins have been all over the place with who they like with the only consistant teams being Rutgers and Pitt. UT looks to be going in a different dierction with limited scholarships left. Game playing is over only the serious need apply for the Class of 2009.
