Jammer Strickland?

I talked to some of the kids on this years Farragut baseball team and heard he is transferring to a JC. With all of depth UT has in outfield he wasn't going to see much playing time. I believe it was mutual agreement between coaches and Jammer. I wish him all the best he is a good kid.

Jammer is going to Cleveland St. CC. It is the best thing for him as he can go play this spring. It didn't look like he was going to play this spring and would have redshirted if he stayed at UT. The Vols have alot of depth in the OF.

Hate to see it however if he wants to play he made the right decision.

It's been awhile since Vols (baseball) and depth have been used in at the same sentence.........

I think they would but my guess is he doesn't want to redshirt. I believe there is a 35 man roster limit, in the spring, which he would count against if he was still on the roster.

How good is the team supposed to be this year? Baseball is my favorite sport so I love keeping up with the team, but I haven't really heard anything about them!

I think they will return to .500 or better this year, partly due to getting better, partly due to some weak non-conference home games.

Too early to predict if they'll make it to Hoover, but I think we'll see progress.

I hope they make it to Hoover, I live about 20 mins away so I'd definitely be able to see them play.

Good for Jammer. Mike Policastro is one of the best JC coach around. IMO At least he was in the mid to late 90's. Always knew their would be scouts and d1 coaches when we played them.
