KNOXVILLE – Going up against an old boss or employer is always a touch awkward in the world of sports, especially after being fired.
That’s what Tennessee defensive coordinator John Jancek and secondary coach Willie Martinez are faced with this week with Georgia coming to town.

check out the injury updates

Butch Jones hasn’t given any official indication, but it doesn’t look like linebacker Curt Maggitt is anywhere closer to playing this week.

It's not worth it. We need to let him get to 100%.

Just Red Shirt the kid already ! Half the Season is gone, why worry with it now ? It's in Curt's best interest, as well as, the team. What's the issue ?

he does have another year of eligibility left, since he is a jr,he may not want to wait another year,it would be nice to see him with a couple of years injury free,I'm sure that would make his stock rise

I am sure both Jancek and Martinez wants to prove their ex-boss that he shouldn't have fired them!

Might be time for all of us to acknowledge that this is a rebuilding year. Any wins are icing on the cake, but it's really about rebuilding the team and learning the new offense and defense. Save the guys who will help us climb back up next year.

Highly insincere apologies to fellow VN members who are just too damn young to understand that sometimes you just have to suck it up and go through the ugly times in order to get to the good times. :hi:
