Anyone else hear this? Having lived here in metro Detroit for a few years now, it is a pretty depressing place sometimes.

Anyways, what a wild finish to this game. Lions didn't really deserve it, honestly.

Funny quote. The city is falling apart. Both Detroit and Cleveland are great examples of how far a community can fall due to government.

Aside from Jared Allen being one of the biggest pricks in sports, this is sadly true for a good portion of the city. Regardless, I'd enjoy turning Allen loose on 8 Mile for a day and seeing what shape he comes back in.

Harsh.

Never been there but I would be lying if I said that I didn't always imagine that place sucking.

It's not beautiful by any means, but it's certainly not the worst city ever. Far superior to Cleveland, if you want to make that comparison.

Detroit has been a sh!t hole for over 40 years. I visited relatives there in the early 70's. Every business downtown had bars on the windows, and doors when businesses were closed. It wasn't called murder capital city for years for no reason.

Well, I'd rather be in Cleveland or Detroit than anywhere in Florida.

Also, there's no world where being in Detroit is superior to Cleveland.

...not the classiest approach. But considering the source, that's no surprise.

Allen is as unfiltered as it gets. The comment on New Orleans is a little suspect, but in the end it's just another guy giving his opinion.

Nothing wrong with a "country boy" not wanting to having anything to do with city life.

Well, I have three Plymouth Whalers jerseys in my closet, so I'd have to say that I am.:p

Haha awesome! I've been to a few of their games, they're fun games to watch. Refs really let them play those games, I saw six fights in one game a few years back.

My wife grew up (14 years) in Pontiac,Clarkston areas. I don't think any of her relatives actually live in the city of Detroit. Just saying there are still some nice places there on the outskirts.

There are some cool suburb areas here. It's sad to see how far the city has fallen overall, though. I would have loved to have seen it in the old days.
