Also, starting offensive linemen Heath Batchelor may have quit the team. Gotta love a quitter right before the Bama game if true. There must be something more to him leaving. Broke a team rule, doesn't have the grades, family issue..... has to be something.
South Carolina has suspended running back Jarvis Giles for the Gamecocks' game at No. 2 Alabama. Offensive line starter Heath Batchelor also won't make the trip.
South Carolina athletic spokesman Steve Fink said on Friday that Giles violated team and university policy. The freshman was the 22nd-ranked Gamecocks' second-leading rusher this season with 245 yards.
Fink said he did not know if Giles' suspension would extend past the game at Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
Multiple media outlets have reported that Batchelor left the team this week. Fink would not comment on the reports.
