The dominoes are falling. Jarvis Hill on Saturday became the University of Tennessee’s second basketball commitment for 2005.
Hill, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Starkville, Miss., made an unofficial campus visit in which he told the UT coaches he’ll sign with the Vols in November.
Hill joins forward Joey Cameron, the Leeds, Ala., forward, who committed two weeks ago.
Accompanied by family, Hill arrived Saturday morning, met with the coaching staff, offered his commitment then began the drive back to Mississippi.
Hill averaged 23 points as a junior at Starkville High School.

If we can finish strong with 2 more quality signees (Tyler Smith) I think Buzz may buy himself some more time. :good:

Ahhhh I just sent a report and I didn't mean to.

I didn't pay attention and thought it said "reply"

But ah....yes Tyler would be great...and Jamont...or Cromwell...

Look at you throwing out some recruiting knowledge! I am impressed.

Rousean Cromwell is a highly rated good sized kid and he is in state which I like. Gordon is probably the best player out there that we have a shot at but I have heard that he is a guy who may not qualify academically (but your probably already knew that.) ;)

Yeah I'm hoping Oak Hill will turn JG around. I think he can make the grade if he tries hard.

Jarvis Hill is way under the radar from what I've gathered...

From HoopScoopOnline...

We also have confirmed via our Tennessee Correspondent Andre Whitehead that 6'3 Jr Jarvis Hill from Starkville (H.S.) MS, who is ranked #213 nationally in the junior class by the HOOP SCOOP, has verbally committed to Tennessee. Obviously this is important, because the Volunteers had made Hill a high recruiting priority. We're talking about a strong physical athlete who appears to be underrated by the HOOP SCOOP. As a matter of fact, Whitehead thinks Hill deserves to be ranked among our top 100 juniors nationally. The addition of Hill moves Tennessee's recruiting class, which also includes 6'9 Jr Joey Cameron from Starkville (H.S.) MS, has moved into a tie, along with Rutgers, on our list of the Top Recruiting Classes To-Date for the Class of 2005. In other words, with Hill and Cameron already in fold, it now appears to be two down and two to go for the Volunteers, as they turn all of their attention onto keeping the two top juniors in the state - 6'6 Jr Tyler Smith from Pulaski (Giles County) TN and 6'4 Jr Jamont Gordon from Nashville (Glencliff) TN - both at home.

I think the biggest impact you will have next year is the transfer student that will be eligible this coming year. Don't forget about him, he's a good one...

Another great link IHeartMyVols! I haven't seen that site before.

WestKyCat, glad to see that you joined. :welcome: Are you referring to Andre Patterson? I think Tennessee fans have been so let down with transfers/incoming freshman over the years it's hard for us to get our hopes up.

I think Lofton was a nice pickup, especially since it was so late.

I think you can get your hopes up for this one. He is a good one.

Chris Lofton, I hear, is a good kid. I'm glad to see that he found a quality team to play for...

Yeah Lofton seems like a good kid...

Somone on Hoopsville that is close to him said that this summer he's taken a "someone is working hard than me" approach.

Hitting the weights and the gym hard....said he takes 1500 shots a day and not just shoot around he goes around and works on certain areas of the court.

Can't wait to see him.
