I'll vouch for that. All of the defense seemed to play uncharacteristically consistent. Lots of good open-field tackles, nice push up front, good coverage (and actually playing the BALL for once). . . . . The speed and pursuit have never been lacking, but those three aspects have been hit or miss this year (and most years I can recall -- especially the secondary play).
If we can keep this squad together (pretty please, Jason???), it would be a nice compliment to what should be an offensive showcase of talent. Which, let's see, here's the equation for next year:
Potent offense + Stingy, hard-hitting defense = WIN
Then,
((WIN x 11) + SEC Championship)/(Absurd Rankings + No respect + BCS blunder) = ?
That's the question (Auburn knows the answer. . . )
