Wilson, a SC product, has been heavily recruited by USC's Dawn Staley since her freshman year in HS. She is very close friends with Jatari White who just committed to USC and both talked often of playing together on the same college team. White (6-4) is a true post player who is left-handed. Wilson (6-4) is primarily a post player but is so talented she can play everwhere: back to the basket, facing the basket, on the perimeter as a swing or even at the point. She's right-handed, and both could man each side of the paint and do their thing without crowding each other...
Thomas is out of Sylacauga Alabama. She has USC as one of her favorites, and is expecting to make her announcement on this Thursday Nov. 14th in a ceremony at her high school. The early signing period is the day prior (Nov. 13th, or this Wednesday), and she is expected to sign with whoever she chooses, and then make the official announcement the next day. Dawn Staley has really elevated her recruiting over the past 2-3 classes. Being inducted into the basketball HOF this offseason has surely helped in that arena. The roster already has 4* junior Aleighsa Welch as it's most veteran leader from the 2011 class, 3 talented 4* players from the 2012 class in Tiffany Mitchell, Asia Dozier, and Khadijah Sessions, and high 4* post Alaina Coates from last year's cycle. Adding the 3 5* talents already committed plus either or both of Wilson and Thomas would make a roster that's talented enough to contend for national titles....
