I'm glad CBJ recruited & committed Jauan Jennings. With his ability to pass and run, he seems to be the ideal fit at QB in CBJ's offense. This video highlight from Friday night shows the extra dimension Jennings could bring to our offense.

I'm not sure if Dormady is also a running threat but Jennings sure is.

We wont know till he gets here. All you can do is speculate. He might be a slot? who knows. Dormady doesn't have much in the wheels department from the film I've seen on him. Kendall is who I'm really interested in (for 2016), he has an arm, and is pass first, with great wheels as well. I havn't seen a soph in highschool in a long time that will keep his eyes down field and be able to evade defenders at the same time. I "speculate" he will be something special.

Good to know about Dormady, I hadn't heard if he's much of a runner or not, sounds like he's not. Kendall sounds like a great prospect, I'll have to check out his highlights more as his season plays out.

In CBJ's system I think it will be huge for us to have a legitimate dual-threat QB in the future. Someone who certainly can make the throws but also keep the defense guessing a little with his ability to run.

You do not want a run first, pass second QB in this offense. That is fine for Auburn's and the flexbone - but not in the pro spread. Mobile QB's work best in this offense. Worley is a pure passer that is encouraged to run and be more mobile occasionally. But Dormady and Kendall are the prototypes for this offense.

Exactly.Dormady and Kendall fit the mold for this offense.

How do you run a read option scheme and the QB never keep the ball? I mean there were 4-5 times last night that Worley could have/should have kept the ball and would have gained at least 5 yards and a few first downs. But no, he hads it to Lane and he gets smothered at the line.

We run the "read option" like a "power team".

I agree. Seems like Jennings with his running ability would be a good fit. Hopefully Jennings can adjust to the college game and be able to get a shot at running Butchs offense

Maybe, but I feel pretty strong about this one. He is a good runner but I don't think he has an arm. I will eat crow if I am wrong (and I hope I am)

Watch these highlights from this year and tell me what you think. He seems to have a very good arm and a quick release. Highlights are broken down into different sections, i.e. Play Action, Quick Game etc.

Didn't we try this with Brett Schafer & Joshua Dobbs?????????

The only running q.b.'s that I can remember being REAL effective was Shuler & Martin.

We shouldn't really speculate about Jennings and Kormady while both are committed and not knowing who might be the future QB.

I will cite this case in point. One year we had AJ Suggs and Chris Sims committed. One Sunday night, someone called WLAC when it was the premiere Vol network and claimed Suggs was really the stud QB and that Sims was destined to be only a backup. The next day, Sims suddenly decommitted and committed to Texas. Suggs was a total bust and eventually transferred.

It's all speculation on their abilities while they are still in high school. Since they are currently committed, it is not unlikely that they read and listen to UT news and sports boards.
