One of the best.

Best quote(song):
"show me the way to go home.
I'm tired and I wanna go to bed.
I hade a couple drinks about an hour ago, and it went straight to my head"

Has anyone ever figured out exactly what the hell Quint was going to do with the big hook he went back in the cabin for when he thought (Hooper disagreed, it was never actually confirmed one way or the other) he'd hooked it on rod and reel? It's not like you're gonna gaff the thing. For that matter I've always been a little bewildered with the seeming case of "now what" once they found it. Hook it to "trick it" to the surface to get some barrels in it? Fine, you've got a pissed off 25' great white with some floats on it...now what? I never got the impression there was much of an "end game" planned out very well.

Having said all that it's still one of the great movies of all time in my book.

"We're gonna draw him into the shallows, draw him in the shallow water, gonna draw him in and drown him. We're headin' in, Brody!"

That seemed awfully improvisational at the time it was brought up. Then there's the whole idea of just tying off a 25' shark to your stern cleats ("We're gonna need a bigger boat.") and trying to drag it. And where exactly could that boat draft that would be too shallow for the shark anyway?

Not trying to hen-peck the movie...it's just one of those things that always had me asking myself if it seemed there was ever a "real" plan on exactly what to do once they found the thing.

One of my faves. The Indianapolis scene inspired me to base a writing project for a paper I had to do in college. Terrible thing that the CO of that ship had to endure after the ordeal was over and DOD had to find a scapegoat. He ended up commiting suicide.
