He did an amazing job last year and his success with running backs in his short coaching career speaks for itself. How Coach Jones handles this situation is going to be vital in getting this fan base to rally around him. I think its safe to say that just about every Vols fan loves Jay Graham. Butch needs to recognize that JG is beloved but more importantly that he is quickly becoming one of the best position coaches in the conference.

If Butch endorses and keeps JG then he keeps the momentum from the presser rolling.

If Butch tells JG to find another job he would be making a huge mistake. He has to know he isn't an overwhelmingly popular hire....keeping JG would get some more fans on board.

If he retains Graham and is able to pull Tee away from USC then that would already be a pretty darn good recruiting staff.

It would be a travesty to let a UT legend like Graham go when he is also a phenomenal coach. I agree, if he can pull Tee back home and keep Graham I would feel much better about our new coach.

This is exactly my point. I would say the majority of the fan base wants to be excited but are extremely skeptical. Bringing back Graham and sending the message that this is Tennessee Football and because JG is one of the best and bleeds orange he IS staying in Knoxville!

CBJ needs to also find a spot for Tee Martin on this staff, for recruiting find a spot for Trooper Taylor if he is NCAA clean, and keep this T.J. Weist from his previous staff:
