Jaylen Wright depreciation post

It was a team effort tonight. Even the special teams brought their F game.

And our defense was terrible at times like 3rd down. Maybe we were making too adjustments to shore up secondary and it backfired.

Cataclysmic failures on offense, not just the fumble by Wright, were to blame. Defense didn't do anything to help the situation, but given the utter lack of forward progress on offense, they will escape my critique this week

At times? Missouri had a 19 or 20 play 11 minute drive. This kinda helps suck the life out the offense when you can't get the ball. The fumble was huge though because we weren't getting the ball.

Jalin's fumble
Joe's fumble
Joe's pick 6
Entire defense

It's a team loss.

Before Joe's meltdown he wasn't doing bad but my question always is...how much better would we be, with another QB. He throws the ball late and/or not at all in a lot of cases, where other QB's would be on time and anticipate the WRs coming out of their breaks.

We're also without our
Top WR in Bru and #3 or 4 WR in Thornton
Top and arguably best CB in the Nation in Hadden
Top LB in Pili and apparently Carter was out today
Starting CB in Tamarion McDonald got injured early

No excuse for the ass whoopin today but that is pretty dang rough.

The refs called 1 holding penalty on the opposing team today... missed a TON and obvious calls that lead to big plays for MO.

This thread is pathetic. This loss wasn’t on Wright. Coaching was too blame.
;yeah if the coaches hadn’t fumbled twice and threw an interception we’d probably of won.
If they would of run a little faster and made more tackles we’d of won for sure.
Couldn’t agree more. 100% on the coaches.
Can’t blame the players, they just happened to be on the field

His fumble in the red zone was the turning point. Would have led 14-10

Replay showed that Wright was being tackled and going down when another Mizzou player targeted the ball from his rear side and hit it hard enough to knock it out. I wanted to blame our player for fumbling, but the reality is that Missouri made a great defensive play. Maybe Wright should have held the ball, but it looked like an irresistible force meeting a movable object, shoulder against ball and arm. Shoulder won.

Terrible post. Completely classless. Also the turning point of this game was the chicken **** 3 and out after the interception that put the D right back on the field.

This is a BS thread. He’s had a really good career here and you are trashing him after his first real mistake. We lost because we got manhandled in the trenches

What was down and distance at that point? I’m pretty sure we’re 4 of 14 going for it on 4th down this year. I think we punted them inside the 15. We just weren’t good.

I’m not so mad about the not going for it as I was the sequence of play calling. I think it was 4th and 4 in plus territory (around their 44). I would personally have gone for it because I know the DC can’t stop anyone but the 4th down decision was not the greatest of my aggravation.
