Haiti.
When you want to see neoliberalism at its absolute worst, you need look no further. The Creole Pig should be the symbol of everything wrong with neoliberalism.
When you want to discuss if, how, and when we should interfere or interdict in the affairs of another country, I think those in authority should first recite "lessons learned" from Haiti before even being allowed to entertain the idea.
How much better would Haiti be today if Aristide had just been allowed to govern as was his right by the will of the democratic mandate of the Haitian people?
