Anybody else wrecks Kenseth right there and they get black flagged. They pretty much let Gordon do what he wants when he wants.

But thanks Jeff, you helped Jr. get back to the top 5. :devilsmoke:

You are still a freaking queer though.

Dunno about that...

Kenseth is my guy. but Gordon was on rails and clearly faster than Kenseth during those last laps. He tried to block him and he had to get out of the throtle. Gordon just took advantage and cut the wind out from under him.

Is a sh*t way to lose a race, but Gordon had the better car.

Jeffy intentionally wrecked Kenseth just like he has intentionally wrecked just about everyone else that he races with. That seems to be the only way he can win anymore, is to take people out on the way. He is one sorry S.O.B. :bad:

Nascar should penalize him, but of course they won't. :moon2:

No offense Jenn, but the guy in your avatar was famous for the exact same move.

No offense, but this thread is about Jeffy Gordon being a bonehead, not the guy in my avatar.

The difference in what Dale Sr. did and what the flamer does is that MOST of the time, Dale Sr. gave them a lap or 2 to move out of the way before he punted them. The flamer just takes them out right away. Another thing is that Nascar doesn't do anything about the flamer when he takes people out, yet they will blag flag, suspend, penalize, etc. someone like Harvick or Stewart for doing the exact same thing. The flamer must be good in bed with Nascar.

she is exactly right guys. gordon can do what he wants. earlier in the year carl edwards wrecked someone at charlotte i think the same way and they black flagged him. gordon is untouchable to nascar.

I don't buy that CBC.Tony(Hot head) Stewart does as much and gets by with just as much as Gordon does.

You're probably right about Gordon playing by a different set of rules. There are probably 3 or 4 drivers that get more latitude than anybody else and I think everybody knows who they are. Tony Stewart is probably one of them, but he's such a hot head that even NASCAR has to step in at some point.

That being said, I think it was pretty clear from the replay that Kennseth slowed down about the time that Gordon got in the gas. Maybe JG could have done a little bit more, but I think most drivers in that position would have ended up doing the same thing.

It didn't even matter though since Kennseth ran out of gas a lap or two later anyway.

Jeffy always says that if he can get to his bumper he will win. He says it all the time, and he has raced for postions at the end of races like that for years. There was no payback, it wouldn't have mattered who was leading, he was going to take them out. Why, because he can, pure and simple. Nascar just turns the other way, along with the idiots in the booth.

Exactly... which is why he could've just waited until the next corner to just drive around Kenseth. Like Matt said, Gordon isn't stupid, and unfortunately for Matt, and my fantasy teams, he doesn't forget either.

I said he had the better car... I never said he wasn't an a**hole

Glad we nailed that down. :D

That's racing though, nothing you can do. I don't recall any of these holy rollers calling for Kenseth's head at Bristol either, though.

Exactly. It's not like it was the last lap or something. He still had four laps to get around Matt cleanly, and he clearly had the better car. There was no need to take him out.

Jeffy doesn't know the meaning of cleanly.
