That's why plate racing sucks. Guys like Gordon and Labonte look great all night and then in the last 20 laps the idiots are packed in together and all get stars in their eyes and start taking people out.

plate racing does not suck. that is blasphemy ga.

it is part of the schedule and if you dont make it through then move on. what sucks are the mile and a half cookie cutter tracks that have been designed for the roush and hendrick cars to dominate.


tilidie is just pissed b/c his boy has lost the golden touch. dont blame it on one race. check the last 30 some odd races well he has been less than average.


gordon has won about 10 of these races so dont start whining now.


what we need to complain about is the stupid idiotic caution they threw to secure smoke would get to climb the fence. the last two turns would have been real interesting without that ridiculous caution.

Let me change that slightly . . . Plate racing is fun to watch, but sucks for the drivers. There is something wrong with a system where the difference between 1st and 20th is 1.5 seconds. If you're not in the top 2 or 3, you'd better hold on for dear life in the last 20 laps.

Im sure one of the Bush's would have caused a wreck and taken all 3 out without the caution.

Plate racing is insane.

Why don't they just post a speed limit and get it over with. Rev limiters would make more sense than those plates. And don't get me started on the drafting. The thought, that to succeed means that you need someone elses help is stupid.

The sight of all those cars bunched togther is exciting to watch but It sucks when your driver is taken out by something they had nothing to do with. Is there any chance that the plates will be eliminated when they debut the "Car of Tommrrow"?

nah. the cars of tomorrow are intended to keep the cars stuck to the track. they have a huge wing to help with downforce. they look like these damn rice burning fast and the furious cars.


the motors will still be the same and the cars will actually be more on a level playing field. meaning more wrecks and more of a hornet's nest.

i vote to take them off though. i would spread them out more even if they are going 200+mph.

It was dumb strategy to take 4 tires with only about 10 laps left. He got caught up with the bums and they took him out.

At Daytona anyway, handling is a big part of it and the cars get spread out during a long green run. If Jimmie Johnson doesn't run out of talent last night and bunch the field back up with everyone having fresh tires and handling great, that last crash probably doesn't happen.

I dunno anything they can do at Talladega. They're going to be packed up all the time there no matter what. There is a lot more room to move around there at least, and they've had a few caution free races there recently.

Come on CBC.Even with your hate for 4 time Nascar Champ (5 actually but one was stolen) Jeff Gordon, you have to admit when a car leads 27 laps of a race, and potential top 4/5 finish to a DNF, with a few laps left, really..................S.U.X. :banghead:
