Shocked the hell out of me. Was that in 1? I don't remember. Carl Edwards also screwed up a 2nd place finish.

That sucks. Did anyone hear Carl Edwards post race interview? I'm sure it was something of the lines of "<BIG GRIN> Aw shucks, I just drove it in to deep there trying to get in the corner. I knew I had to do something if I was gonna beat the 20, but this Office Depot Ford Fusion was real good....."

:lolabove: you nailed that one... all that dust in the last turn must have messed up Carl... I still dont see how in the world he finished 8th, he was wayyyy out in the gravel, I thought he would hit the wall.... good save I guess?

Not very often you see Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart spin out on their own, much less in the same race. Fortunately for Stewart, he did it early enough that he had time to recover. They were the class of the field today, from what I saw.

Tony put the pressure on and Jeffy couldnt handle it :good!:

I guess Jeff Gordon is human. Sometimes I wonder because he is head and shoulders above the rest of the field. Jeff can handle any amount of pressure, unlike Tony. I like Tony too but Jeff is a much more smarter driver and just flat out better. Jeff is the one man Tony fears -he trys not to let it show- but Gordon has made him look average MANY times! Jeff Gordon is the overall all-time best -deal with it.

I never said Jeff wasnt better than Tony... theyre undoubtedly the best 2 drivers in the sports... but use whatever excuses you want, Jeff was in the lead, and he was pressing bc he knew Tony would take him if he got close and he spun out... therefore, Jeff obviously CANT handle any amount of pressure... Jeff is great, but the best of all time??

Without worshipping the ground that he walks on and praising his every move (like some of his fans do), I will just say that even the best ones mess up sometimes. No one is perfect, not even Jeffy Gordon.

Tony Stewart spun halfway through the race with Gordon about as close to him as Stewart was to Gordon with 2 to go. Does that mean Stewart can't handle the pressure too?? By your logic, it does.

It happens, everyone spins out, including the two best road racers in the business.
