For those that missed it:

Young had 269 yards and five TDs as the Bulldogs took a 42-7 lead into the half. Young's 16-yard sweep on the first play of the second half broke the rushing mark formerly held by Torey Works (272).

Young hasn't played more than the first series of the second half in either of Bearden's wins this season. He has 17 carries for 419 yards and eight rushing TDs this season in addition to two receiving TDs and a kick return for a TD.

Young carries heavy load for Bearden Knoxville News Sentinel

That kid is a beast on the high school gridiron. He's gonna be good for somebody in college for sure.

I do not understand why Jeff. Co. continues to be weak!

Only thing good at Jeff. Co. is the band :good!:

Joking, I am in the band though... Wish Jeff. Co. was better, sucks having to play (in the band) for a team who is almost guaranteed to lose every game.

When did Jeff county start sucking? I live out of state but when I lived there, they were pretty good. Is Kisbeth still the coach?

The last good run by Jeff Co was my freshman year there I believe. Perhaps it was my sophomore year. '02-'03 was my freshman year. After that, it was all downhill. Kisabeth is the a.d. there now and was the whole time I was at JC. Marty Euverard was a coach at one time and another guy was there before him when I came in but can't remember his name. Justin Anderson is the coach now and former alumni. Way too many students there to have such a consistently poor football team.

The people in control of hiring the coach (not kisbeth) are a bunch of anal retentive pencil pushing control freaks whom beleive that school has no place for football. I would equate the situation to the teacher who ratted UT out a few years ago who belonged to a national group with similar aspirations. Jefferson County is what happens when they take over. That being said there are very good football teams in the county at the lesser levels with some coaches who should get there shot.
