In the article it said he was being evicted from his apartment. How the hell do you get evicted when you’re making that kind of $$? I’ve always thought that guy was an overrated hot head . Clown

I think you meant to say the way he was raised. By the time a 18 year old gets to these coaches they are likely already molded into the man they are going to be.
Coaches can have a huge impact on players despite how they are raised.

However, you are right. I don't know his upbringing situation but I'd be willing to bet his father wasn't around. It's a common trend among men who beat women.

I agree...such a tragedy in today's society that very few people are willing to discuss. HOPEFULLY...some are waking up. So many of outstanding athletes grow up without a dad in the home (don't know Burton's situation but speaking generally) and live productive, honorable lives BUT clearly coming from a single mother home one is starting out with a strike against them already in most situations. Often...just trying to have a heartfelt discussion about it will get you branded in today's climate. IMO....very little will change until real men stay with their children's mother and raise their own kids...IN THE HOME!! 🤷‍♂️

When you have no parenting , no discipline growing up, smoke dope every day, do whatever you want without consequence, this is what you do.

How about real men marry the girl and they decide to have a family. Novel Idea...

I know this may be a new concept to some but there are these people called dumbasses in the world. They don’t stop being DAs even when given money and opportunities. In fact the more unearned opportunities you give them, the more you coddle them and they will self sabotage more.

Dude needs some help, and like @OrangeVolMan said, that starts with accountability.
Not disagreeing with you, but how does a coach/staff hold anyone accountable in the time of absolute free agency (transfer portal). Someone will always take the chance on talent. “I can fix him or at least tolerate him.”

CFB is a mess.

As a lifelong Bengal fan, I've hated several of their draft picks over the years. Drafting this douche in the 3rd round was stupid considering the risk/reward and other available prospects. Jalen McMillan was available and he's been very productive for a playoff Tampa team.
Burton has been Inactive for way too many games due to behavior/ performance in practice.

Couldn’t agree more. One race leads the nation in broken homes, and is no coincidence they lead the nation in crime as well. That’s not an attack. It’s just the numbers. Family means something. Until society is ready to have uncomfortable conversations about uncomfortable topics without resulting to “you’re a racist”, much will stay the same.
