when jeronne gets elgible in in the second semester, wonder were he will fit in the rotation? he should be able to help us on the boards with that wide body down low.

Apparently, he'll immediately be the backup 4.

hmmm... wonder what this means for Kenny Hall?! I've always liked Kenny and I think it is a joke that Pearl gets more PT than him!

It'd be nice if Maymon could take Woolridge's spot. Hopefully Hall can take over Pearl's spot and Mcrae can take over Mcbee's spot.

When maymon comes back he will bump pearl at the 4 backing up Tobias. Hall is too limited to play the 4 and we honestly won't see him much this year barring injury. Swiperboy or McRae will be backing up at the 3 and Mcbee at the 2 although I'd love McRae to back up the 2 and swiperboy the 3 and maymon the 4. That'd be a very talented second line.

Pearl filled the role of resting key scorers the last 2 seasons. I agree, when Maymon is eligible that role will no longer be necessary. He is a senior so that will be tough.

I really think Pearl should have redshirted either Hall or Woolridge this year, preferably Hall.

I think redshirting Hall would have been smart.

PF-Harris, Maymon, Woolridge, Pearl
C- Williams, Fields

That's six players. If Williams/Fields gets hurt, then you can use Hall.

Maymon would be tough to bang in the paint with. Im looking forward to seeing him in the post.

I'm thinking he will be a significant role player. Just based off the scrimmages, it SEEMS like he's fairly athletic, handles the ball decently, and has a quick first step. I think our team will be better with him. Besides, Pearl and Woolridge look improved at least a little.

I havent seen him play yet but i've heard a lot of good things. Hopefully he'll give this team a boost....as of right now thats what we need. As far as Pearl goes; I think he plays just about as hard as anyone but I dont think he should be playing over McRae. Pearl just does'nt have the talent and he is a fouling machine. Woolridge just has'nt showed me anything since he's been here.

I would not count on Pearl being bumped at the four. I hope you are correct, but I'm not really expecting Pearl not to continue to see significant playing time. Hopefully, Maymon will be good enough that there will be no other choice.

I really don't think "McRae" would help us very much at the 4 position.

I know Swiper is the guy everyone loves to bad mouth, but I have to take up for him. He has played hard, played decent D, and rebounded when he has had a chance to play. He's never going to be a scoring machine. The kid has accepted his role with grace, grown, and worked hard. Let's cut him a little slack.

In a perfect world Maymon would step into the back up spot at the 4. Aceing out the coaches son is a hard thing to do so, we'll see. This is what I'd like to see the front line depth chart look like after Maymon can play.

5) Williams, Fields, Hall
4) Harris, Maymon, Swiper
Emergency - Pearl

If Jordan doesn't improve enough to be a steady back up at the 3 this is probably what it will look like.

5) Williams, Fields, Hall
4) Harris, Pearl, Maymon
Swiper playing out of position and backing up the 3.

I don't think Jordan will have a role on this team at all this year and Maymon is sort of like the backup QB, because everybody likes him at this point but let's see what happens when he gets in the game. He's proved nothing so far, but I do want him to take over Pearl's position. Pearl is good for 7 minutes a game, 2 points, a couple rebounds, and at least 2 dumb fouls. I think Hall has been playing better than expected despite the turnovers in the last game. If B Williams keeps struggling, Hall may be getting significantly more playing time at the end of the year. Hall fits our offense a lot better when we are in transition because he can get down the floor and finish strong. If his ft shooting keeps improving then he will definitely see the floor.

I don't know for sure. Shouldn't he be available at the end of the 1st semester which is December 10th? The day before the Pitt game?

If he has to wait for classes to start spring semester, then he wouldn't be able to play until the home game vs. Vandy

Thanks GB3. We're all kind of curious to see how he does/works out down there.

I asked Wes Rucker and all he said was sometime in December. Maybe Maymon will be available for the Pitt game?

He is available when the semester ends, and I think it can be when *his* semester ends, not when everyone's does.

Thus, if they can get his finals done and his grades turned in, he'll be available for Pitt. If not, then the next game.

That's my understanding.
