Per ESPN:
T. Harris: Grade 97
J. McRae: Grade 96
T. Golden: Grade 93
J. Maymon: Grade 40

Is that a mistype? 40? Is he Harris's best friend or something? Can someone explain?

ESPN graded him a 91 coming out of high school.

The 40 doesn't mean anything.

Oh yeah, there he is, #79 in the class of 2009 - Grade 91. The 40 grade on our espn page had me scratching my head.

Any story behind why he's not at Marquette?[/QUOTE]

Former two-time Wisconsin state prep player of the year Jeronne Maymon has enrolled at the University of Tennessee and will walk on to the basketball team there, according to a report in the Knoxville News-Sentinel.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Maymon played nine games for the Marquette Golden Eagles this season before deciding to transfer last month. Coach Buzz Williams said at the time that Maymon's camp was unhappy with the way the freshman forward was being utilized and the amount of playing time he was receiving.

Maymon averaged 4.0 points and 4.2 rebounds in just over 16 minutes of action at MU. He sat out one game, a 77-73 loss to North Carolina State on Dec. 5, with a hip pointer, and played his last game for the Golden Eagles on Dec. 12 in his hometown of Madison in a 72-63 loss to Wisconsin.

Maymon, who won't be eligible to play until mid-December next season due to NCAA transfer rules, is expected to receive a scholarship at some point at Tennessee. The Volunteers are coached by former UW-Milwaukee coach Bruce Pearl.

Solid - thanks!

So what happens when he gets to TN and is playing behind Hall and Woolridge (aka Swiiperboy aka The Answer)?

Pitiful. If hat, bpv or I said this, about 40 homers would jump all over us. You must not be much of a fan

Just having a little fun with recent events and pointing out that it's best not to get too comfortable with any line-up where the Vols are concerned. I'm looking forward to seeing what Maymon can contribute next season, actually.

Thats not a bad little class. We lose Chism, Maze, Prince, Tyler, and maybe one of the three that got in trouble.

Bringing in a group like that should be exciting. Is there anyone else we are looking at getting? Most of my time is spent on the football recruits and other than the Selby & Tobias situations I am not as up to date with basketball recruiting.

We need another Center. I love Hall, but I don't think Hall/Williams is going to cut it next year.
