Coach Jones was on the radio today talking about him, and he had good things to say. He said he'll be solid at the 4, and he's even much better at putting the ball on the floor than Renaldo. I realize that isn't saying much, but it's just nice to hear that we could at least slightly improve there next year.
UT's 4 is not a dedicated post position that relies on interior passes to get the ball. As evidenced by Bradshaw and Smith, the 4 can and will have the ball in his hands on the perimeter and is looked upon to be a playmaker as a scorer, driver, and passer.I thought he left Marquette because he wanted to play the 3 and not the four?

Basically, Maymon believes he is an athletic playmaker and was being squandered stuck in the low post all the time.
