I thought he was eligible in december. Am I wrong because he could probably help with depth or is he not good enough?

Don't get your hopes on Maymon. He'll be serviceable, but he's not going to be that inside All-American presence that people want.

Maymons role is to spell Tobias Harris. he is nothing special but the 2 are great friends and according to Brent Hubbs Maymon understands he will play mostly when Harris is on bench.

Are you aware that we are in February 2010, which is before December 2010? Use this for reference.

Coach Jones was on the radio today talking about him, and he had good things to say. He said he'll be solid at the 4, and he's even much better at putting the ball on the floor than Renaldo. I realize that isn't saying much, but it's just nice to hear that we could at least slightly improve there next year.

Are you forgetting that Maymon won't be the only new option at the 4? I presume Tobias Harris will also play the 4; and he could have played at UT as a freshman in high school and been an upgrade over Swipersuck.

I thought he left Marquette because he wanted to play the 3 and not the four?

UT's 4 is not a dedicated post position that relies on interior passes to get the ball. As evidenced by Bradshaw and Smith, the 4 can and will have the ball in his hands on the perimeter and is looked upon to be a playmaker as a scorer, driver, and passer.

Basically, Maymon believes he is an athletic playmaker and was being squandered stuck in the low post all the time.

I thought that I read he was in the lineup at center, as well....

He's going to play the 4 more than the 3. I haven't seen anything about him playing 5.
