Jerry Helton (Todds dad)

Don't know if this goes here but Jerry is in the hospital in Philly and his prognosis is grim. Thought we could send up some prayers of love and support for Todd and the family.

Update: Jerry was removed from the respirator this morning. His family is waiting.

Family receives friends tomorrow night, 3/12 , 4-7 service to follow at Smithwood Baptist Church in Ftn. City.

Whoa Todds uncle Coach Joel a few weeks ago. Now Todd's dad? BOBCATS for Life. Hope for the best. Heltons are winners, all of them are....Joel, Jerry, Todd & Zach. No matter the outcome they will not beat defeated. I've often ate a burger at Sam & Andy's in Fountain City and Jerry would be in there and we would talk about him on the wall playing for the Twins. This has got to be tough.

My understanding is Jerry had a stroke and fell down some stairs. It's not good.

Jerry passed at about 9:30 this am. Please remember his family.

Damn..I will always remember him hitting the track at Central when I was a student there and being a cool guy.

I remember him threatening some students like my brother in the Dog Pound in the semi-traditional heckle the home team part of the game when the Vols got up by more than 10 runs.
