Jerry Jones with a not so subtle hint

Yes. Even if all these experiments do work, and all these guys with image issues turn into (relatively) upstanding members of the NFL, this method of personnel management won't get a team to the top of the mountain.

The comparison between the Cowboys today and the Raiders of old is beyond worn out, but grows truer every week.

I made this almost same statement on a Cowboys fan forum and have been told that "we don't need you as a fan". "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out". "go jump on some other tream's bandwagon" etc.
I have loved and supported the Cowboys for over 30 years. But there is a point when you just say enough. There is a time when you just can't continue to support a franchise that has seemingly sold it's soul for a super bowl. Maybe I am just getting too old and maybe the game is just so different now, but I think my position is bigger than a single player or a team. It's about integrity, respect, and dignity. In my eyes, Jerry Jones has lost those qualities in his quest for a championship. I dunno, maybe I'm just not as hard-core as I should be or as willing to overlook things I don't support as long as it brings wins. It's just not me. I just want to be able to watch my favorite team with my son and be able to tell him "That's how you play the game. That guy and that team do it the right way". I want to be able to respect the players that wear the uniform. Cowboys fans can berate me all they want. But my point of no return has arrived. The straw has broken the camel's back.

I am sure. Now that they have rid themselves of the very reason I am no longer supporting the Cowboys. I may just stop watching all pro sports except golf and NHRA. Maybe women's 9-ball.

Eh... Even though I disagree on about every level of how my favorite pro sports franchise is being run, I'll still pull for the Cowboys to win.

The only time I've ever stopped rooting for a team altogether was the Blazers earlier in this decade. Now that is a set of character issues. The Cowboys now pale in comparison.

I have my doubts anything will happen with Dallas and Chad Johnson. I know the rumor really gained strength after the draft, but I think that was mostly due to the Bengals taking a couple of wrs. A few days earlier they turned down a redskins offer of their 2008 and 2009 1st round picks for CJ. I don't see Dallas offering anything better than that.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about CJ being a Cowboy. Not sure there's be enough passes for him and Terrell Owens. Not to mention Witten and the running game. Although if they could make it work with CJ, that'd be a rediculously talented offense.
