Its sad that it had to happen like this with him actually having to pretty much beg teams to pick him up over the offseason but that should have been a sign to him that it wasnt going to work out. None the less, the man is in TERRIFIC shape for his age and he truly is the greatest WR ever.

Best i read, He wasnt cut Bow'ed out, Met with Denver heads on where and when he would be used. IT didnt fit his drive as he still has so he stepped away from the game.

Its hard to watch the guys you loved or hated on, while ya grew up leave the game. I still follow Danny White, Tony Hill and what they are into.

Jerry Rice gave us so many special moments and years and was, in my opinion, the consummate NFL receiver. My hat is off to a good man and a great football player.

I miss the Jerry Rice of the 80's and early 90's.

Surely, if the 49ers picked him up, it would be one of those ceremonial one day contracts.

I guess he's earned the right to out however he wants, but I wish he'd do it gracefully.
