Not taking the guys side, but wasnt it a punt return and the gunner was running out of bounds toward the punt? Isnt it a penalty to go out of bounds and come back in?

You just can't be the first to touch the ball if you weren't pushed out I think. Although I believe the rule changed somehow last year.

In sports, you can't do anything like that and think that no one saw it. Cameras are everywhere.

The Mikes brought up a good point earlier. Players line themselves up strategically to create an additional "block" for the gunners to run into. Ole' Sal just took it one step further. Apparently, the NFL will be addressing this according to ESPN Radio.

I can already hear the argument from the coaches that use this trick: "Well, are we just gonna expand the field?"

That's only on pass plays. Besides this guys only trying to tackle the return man in most situations

there's a going out of bounds and coming back in rule with kickoffs/punts also

either way though it's pretty irrelevant; this was pretty much as illegal as that Alabama player in the 1954 Cotton Bowl who left the sideline to tackle the Rice RB
