Jimbo Gets New Eight Year Deal

Florida State: The school has announced a contract extension for Jimbo Fisher through the 2022 season. The release doesn’t include numbers, but says Fisher will become “one of college football’s highest paid coaches.” Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman reports the deal will average $5.5 million annually. Fisher earned around $3.5 million in 2014

Will be interesting to see how things go when Jameis and some of the other miscreants either go to the NFL or pull some of their hijinks in some place other than Tallahassee, and end up in the pokey. Or how the school feels about paying him so much when the Feds, the NYT, the DOJ, or someone else comes knocking with insider dirt on what has really gone on there.

This has Urban Meyer/Tim Tebow written all over it. It's easy to win when you have the best player in the country as your QB. Once crab man bounces to a life of crime in the NFL winning may get a little tougher
