“I’m not going to talk about any jobs,” Fisher told reporters after Florida State’s Tuesday practice. “I love being here at Florida State. I plan on being here and I’m just getting ready for Syracuse.”

He gone.

Cue the obligatory "he will dominate, we are screwed, blah, blah, blah." We might as well forfeit the game with LSU next year.

He is not going to LSU. He is starting to fail in the ACC, you think he can handle the SEC west?

Why would he leave FSU to go to LSU? IMO, Florida State is a better job. They overall have accomplished more as a program than LSU and you have a greater chance of success there. When FSU has it rolling they are always one of the top teams in the country.

Highly doubt he takes the job. I see no advantages over his current FSU job. Not one.

You really don't see a huge advantage being at one than the other?

If he goes to LSU he's got all the talent in Louisiana and doesent have to compete with major in state schools. At FSU he battles Miami and Florida to secure kids. A recruiter and a gamer like Fisher is what LSU needs. They should at least offer to coach O though.

Jimbo always made the most sense, but I told he might have burned the bridge down last year. Coach O has done a good job as well... other than the OL getting tore up by Alabama's DL his tenure has been near flawless. I think they have to have things lined within a few weeks.

Aranda has done a very good job, the D has gone just a little better every week. Hope he doesn't jump ship.

Its really hard to see how Coach O fits into all this.

I have to agree with Greg McElroy on this one...what has Coach O done to earn the job? He does a good job as interim coach, but we all saw what he did at Ole Miss when ran a program for three years. He was 10-25 there. Jimbo should get the first call. Definitely easier to recruit at LSU than FSU. LA has no other instate Power 5 schools. LSU is a top 5job (along with Bama, OH State, TX and Michigan). Due the recruiting base its probably a better job than Michigan.

If Saban was retiring at the end of the year it would make better sense.

The difference in recruiting is overplayed. Both schools can and have gotten players for years.

No bridges burned. This job is Jimbo's if he wants it. He is plan A for the Bengals. If he doesn't and they've exhausted all those on the 'A' list, they go to their first choice on plan B, Orgeron.
