Once you travel outside the Catholic-less south, then you will encounter plenty of Catholic schools and private schools with incredible talent. Apparently you have never heard of De la Salle from California
Notable De la Salle Alum:
Maurice Drew
Kevin Simon
Amani Toomer
D.J. Williams

First off, welcome to McCoy 5 LB and RoanokeVol1. I really don't know anything about the school that Clausen went to, but Father Ryan HS in Nashville is a private Catholic school and has several black athletes.

Clausen's school has a couple other big time d-1 prospects. I can't think of their names now but one is a tailback.

I think Jimmy is the real deal. I don't think all of the recruiting services, as well as the big time schools that recruited him, all missed.

How big a high school did the Manning brothers attend?

The tailback is Wendell Tyler's son. And I think there are a couple other pro player's sons on that team too. Jimmy may be the real deal, but I look at it this way. Casey was a highly coveted QB coming out of high school and he came across to me as nothing more than competant. If at one time I had Kelley Washington on one side, Donte Stallworth on the other, and Eric Parker in the slot, I am pretty sure my 5'8" arse could have racked up some yards.

have you not seen the D-1 talent at Jimmy Clausen's school? The school is Oaks Christian and they have multiple D-1 players. Go to scout.com and take a look at how many there are.

I think Clausen will do well in college, but I have a hard time believing he starts all 4 years, considering the QBs Weis landed before him.

Exactly what I thought as read that. This is pure sour grapes.
The sad part is that I see alot of the same vitriolic crap from UT fans directed at little Clausen that Peyton Manning got from the Ole Miss fans. Just because his brothers came here doesn't mean that he has to.

Exactly. Outside of the south, the good football schools are the catholic ones. Here in my state, Jesuit High School and Central Catholic are two very good ones. They are also the only schools in my entire state that recruit football talent... At all.

I believe Jimmy will have a nice carrer but I dont see him living up to all the hype. I could be wrong though. I wish him luck.

The best thing Jimmy will have going for him is Charlie Weiss. I think coach Weiss would elevate any QB's performance via his offensive expertise.

I think he will have a nice career if ever wins the starting job. There is no guarantee that he will beat out Jones and Frazer.
