I dont believe it does. Michigan State is always tough at home. James Madison got overlooked by a team that maybe was listening to much to the chatter about a final four type year. Coach Izzo said their small guards may be an issue when playing UT. The physical play of UT worried him. Michigan State will be in the hunt in the BIG TEN. Im thinking this game is all about MSU still finding out exactly who they are this year. They have way to much talent. And maybe JMU has a decent team this season. They were 22-11 last season.

It has zero impact on seeding in March. Maybe from a perception standpoint the critics can say something, but we won’t get credit for a tiered win one way or another .

What did he say that was wrong? The Tennessee vs Michigan State game was just an exhibition. It's hard to put a "damper" on something which is already meaningless to begin with.
