Dear Lady Vol Fans,
Its an exciting time for Lady Vol basketball right now! After clinching both the SEC regular season title and the SEC tournament title, the Lady Vols received the no. 1 seed in the Memphis regional last night and get to start the tournament right here at Thompson-Boling Arena at noon this Saturday. We hope you will come out and show the team your support as we try to advance to the Final Four in San Antonio.
It has been a while since we hosted a post-season basketball event, so we thought it would be helpful to share some information. Please review the details below so you may join our team as we begin NCAA Tournament competition.
1. Tickets are on sale now! You will be happy to know there are some general admission seats in the lower level!
Best Value:
First and second rounds: All-Session Tickets are $45 each; which includes a ticket for both days, a total of three games.
Single Session Tickets:
Session One Tickets (March 20) are $30 for Reserved and $20 for General Admission (2 games in session).
Session Two Tickets (March 22) are $20 for Reserved and $15 for General Admission (1 game in session).
2. Parking is first come, first served paid parking. All campus lots are $10 per session. NCAA policy allows permit parking for competing teams and tournament personnel only. As is our custom, we will provide free parking and shuttles from the Agriculture Campus with shuttles beginning 2 hours prior to tip-off.
3. Please note that Arena Dining will be utilized for tournament functions and is not available for public access.
4. Friday, March 19, is open practice day come see each of the competing team practice. Park in the G10 garage, use the bridge from the parking garage to the Arena and enter at the northeast corner, concourse level, of the Arena. Practice Times are as follows:
a. Tennessee practice Noon-1:00 p.m.
b. Austin Peay practice 1:05-2:05 p.m.
c. Dayton practice 2:10-3:10 p.m.
d. TCU practice 3:15-4:15 p.m.
5. Game times are as follows:
Saturday, March 20
12:00 Noon Austin Peay vs. Tennessee
2:30 p.m. TCU vs. Dayton
Monday, March 22
7:00 p.m. Winner of Game One vs. Winner of Game Two
Arena Doors open at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 20; and at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 22
6. Regional Ticket Information:
The winning team on Monday will advance to the Regional round of play in Memphis, TN, on Saturday, March 27, and Monday, March 29. Tickets are available through FedExForum:
1. via phone by calling 901/205-2643 901/205-2643
2. and by FedExForum box office purchase. The box office is open 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Mon.-Fri.
The University of Tennessee Ticket Office will not have tickets to sell to the general public for games played away from Knoxville.
