Rivals is reporting that Joe will be making an unofficial visit to UT next week and that we are at the top of his list. That is great news as he seems like a great prospect. Anyone know more about the kid? I know he's dual threat but that's about it.

From some Texans, his size is a question as is his speed, but he has very good instincts and knows how to lead an offense.

I just checked out his video highlights on Rivals and while I can see a concern on his size, I don't know how anyone could question his speed. This guy was escaping people like they were standing still. He looks like the real deal to me. Granted...that isn't the SEC so I guess time will tell.

Any 1-AA or higher player dominated high school so him running over people doesnt say a whole lot, a 40 time does

40ty time is the most overrated judement on a football player ever. There will be no time in a game that he will ever have to run 40 yards in a straight line. Now his agility and cutting abilitys is what Im looking at and its impressive.

true but its the best way to judge speed. It depends on your position, 40 yards is good for WRs and RBs. 10s and 20s are better for linebackers, lineman, and quarterbacks. The most important things for linebackers are short shuttles because its all about change of direction.
