How come the Mississippi defensive player of the year is a 3*? That seems low to me, not that I am a star gazer.

Because he signed with UT. Stock would soar with other teams.

Wikipedia-
"After his stint with the Chicago Bears, Worley returned to Rock Hill and was employed by the Rock Hill, SC YMCA. Worley's responsibilities are overseeing the youth sports programs, sports clinics, and the fitness room."

He was with the Bears practice squad for about 2 weeks in 2015.

He came to UT and looked like a one star. The only SEC QB I ever saw run an option play and rarely kept the ball. He got beat up any way.
Oh I remember a few times he had nothing but green and he for sure wouldn’t run it. Of course he did get hit a lot no doubt. But when you run option and refuse to ever run it’s kind of a dumb offense to run. GBO

Got a relative who coaches in his district at the same level. I’ll let you know what he says

2010 Gatorade National Football Player of the Year

Justin Worley 3*
not even close to the same situation.

No offense. Worley played in air raid offense with a bunch of speedy rock hill neighborhood kids at WR.

Slaughter is a 6'3 200 lbs ball hawk that can line up at any DB spot, blitz or cover deep.

He's extremely underrated.
