John Ward has always been a favorite. I loved his announcing Basketball even more than FB. How is his health? I was wondering what it would take for him to do a guest broadcast of a future game. I would love to hear him scream "Bottommmmm..." when Lofton nailed a three. I remember him and his trademark bottom thru the years with John Snow, Bill Justis, Jimmy England, and down the line of great shooters.

Surely someone on the Volnation has the contacts necessary to contact Kessling and the Vol Network to bring back Ward for an encore appearence.

Nice thought, but it'll never happen

Too bad John Ward didnt have a son that sounded like him, who wanted to take over. Like Harry Carey Jr.

I think John Ward is perm. retired though. Father time caught up with him.

If he did it once then people would want him to do it again...I think it's more respectful of kesling if he stays retired, that would be my guess as to his reasoning...

Kesling is a Rube.

It'll never happen but what a nice thought.

One of the greatest traditions in Tennessee history went out in style and will be forever regarded as one of the best that the sports world has ever known.
