I just heard from a good friend of mine that Bobby Johnson would be named the new coach at Clemson by the end of next week. Has anyone else heard anything like this? I think he is a Clemson grad. He coached, here in the upstate of SC, at a Div II school before going to Vandy.

He is also the greatest coach in history never to win 7 games.

Just ask anybody associated with Vandy.

They interviewed Kiffen and Bud Foster from Va Tech so far I think. I think that Swinney has a real chance to get the job if he can beat USC and win the bowl game. I live in the upstate of SC, so I'm surrounded by Clemson and USC fans, and alot of the Clemson fans I've talked to say they would like to see him get the job.

Who is Clemson going to get?? Any Ideas??

They interviewed Gary Patterson on Tuesday, and I hear he's Clemson's top choice at this point. I don't know if the feeling is reciprocated by Patterson though.

It also wouldn't surprise me to see Tuberville coaching Clemson next year.

Dabo Swinney. Book it.

You can dig this up on Monday/Tuesday if I'm wrong.

If they're going to make an emotional hire based on the outcome of their victory over a 7-5, unranked South Carolina team, they might as well hire Chris Smelley...he had a bigger impact on the game than Swinney did.

The players, fans, and athletic department want Dabo. Being at the game today confirmed that.
