We may be nuts...but at least we're honest.

How are Grudenites nuts but the Doolaids aren't?? One has won a superbowl and would bring in top 5 classes year after year. The other has done nothing but lose. Whatever it takes UT needs to get Gruden. Money should not and has been said will not be an issue.

These are all hypotheticals and nobody can answer them because we don't know the future. Gruden doesn't seem like the type to take on a situation and bail on it though. He has proved it all in the NFL and I believe he wants a new challenge. You hear Alabama players speak about "they run things like the NFL , all business". That is what I expect Gruden would do if he decides to coach college ball. Saban expects these players to handle business. His players fear him. Gruden would get the same respect because he has done things the same way before and won it all at the level these players want to get to. Jon has not been doing nothing for the last few years. He has been studying football and the more you hear him speak , he is talking about the college game changing the NFL. I can tell you this , he doesn't want to get fired again (who would) and I believe he knows that is more likely to happen in the NFL. Sometimes you get one season. Saban was 2 years in with a losing record. Ever think he left to avoid being fired if he didn't get it done in year 3 at Miami? It can happen either way. I just don't see Jon jumping out of the frying pan into the fire that is the NFL , IF he decides to coach college ball. Remember I said IF. And the way he talks about the NFL now , it sounds like he wants no part of it. The new rules don't seem to go with his view of the sport at a professional level. He has said he wants to coach again and is "trying to figure out where he is going". Next best thing? The SEC. I know this doesn't answer the constant question of "how will he be a good college coach because he was in the NFL?" But I like his chances. This is not Jon Gruden in his 30's. He is older and wiser. Other coaches have done it. We can't act like it isn't possible. Pete Carroll went to USC at around the same age. He did just fine.

Good Morning,Grudenites!

How's it going?

I stayed up late watching the Titans game last night and slept later than I normally do.

In regards to your post 24, very well said.:good!:
